The port arch and doghouse arch of the glass furnace have specific requirements for the selection of refractory blocks.

 Port arch:

For the port arch, it is mainly subjected to the erosion of high-temperature flames and glass liquid and chemical erosion, so it is necessary to select refractory blocks with high-temperature stability and good erosion resistance.

Specifically, the refractory blocks commonly used in the port arch are PT fused cast AZS #33 blocks. This block has excellent resistance to glass liquid erosion and high-temperature stability, and is very suitable for high-temperature and severely eroded parts such as port arches.

In the port arch, different parts may choose fused cast AZS blocks with different zirconium contents according to specific circumstances to meet different erosion resistance requirements. For example, the nozzle blocks and the port bottom may use oxidation method non-shrinkage casting(WS)  fused cast AZS 33# blocks, while other parts may use oxidation method ordinary casting (PT) fused cast AZS blocks.

 Doghouse arch:

As for the doghouse arch, it is mainly subjected to the mechanical impact generated when feeding and the erosion of high-temperature glass liquid. Therefore, when choosing refractory blocks, it is necessary to consider their erosion resistance, thermal shock resistance and wear resistance. Although the specific type of refractory blocks used may vary depending on the glass furnace design and production process, in general, PT fused cast AZS 33# blocks is a good choice. These blocks have good erosion resistance and thermal shock resistance, and can effectively protect the doghouse arch from high-temperature glass liquid and mechanical impact during charging.
